Not an M&M expert, but I'm pretty sure you can find a fruit that has the same color description for all the other colors too. Bananas, grapes, strawberries, etc.

But!! My Marine Corp brethren, we do not call the. “Banana M&M’s for yellow; strawberry M&M’s for red etc. etc
We do however call orange M&M’s ORANGE M&M’s.

See what I’m saying? I know you’re like “Ohhhhhhh oraaaaaange M&M’s...”

Somebody needs to quit watching the shitty plain M&Ms. that's a waste of chocolate and colored coating that could be used making the stronger and more advanced Peanut M&Ms.
You're living in the black powder M&M era. The smokeless version is the peanut BUTTER M&M's. They are striving to approach the perfection of Reeses, but aren't there yet.

Peanut Butter M&M’s are good, not quite as good as Reese’s Pieces, but close. But everybody knows the best M&M’s are the peanut.

The 9mm M&Ms are better than the .45 M&Ms because you can carry more of them in the same-sized bag.....

But it's still the same weight per bag, so you just have to expend the additional energy trying to eat the extra pieces to end up with the same intake.

Santa visits his aunt in the nursing home. It turns out that she is taking a nap, so he just sits down in a chair in her room, flips through a few magazines, and munches on some peanuts sitting in a bowl on the table.
Eventually, the aunt wakes up, and Santa realizes that he absentmindedly finished the entire bowl.
"I'm so sorry, auntie, I've eaten all of your peanuts!"
"That's okay, dearie," the aunt replied. "After I've sucked the chocolate off, I don't care for them anyway."

Whenever I get a package of plain M&Ms, I make it my duty to continue the strength and robustness of the candy as a species. To this end, I hold M&M duels.

Taking two candies between my thumb and forefinger, I apply pressure, squeezing them together until one of them cracks and splinters. That is the "loser," and I eat the inferior one immediately. The winner gets to go another round.

I have found that, in general, the brown and red M&Ms are tougher, and the newer blue ones are genetically inferior. I have hypothesized that the blue M&Ms as a race cannot survive long in the intense theater of competition that is the modern candy and snack-food world.

Occasionally I will get a mutation, a candy that is misshapen, or pointier, or flatter than the rest. Almost invariably this proves to be a weakness, but on very rare occasions it gives the candy extra strength. In this way, the species continues to adapt to its environment.

When I reach the end of the pack, I am left with one M&M, the strongest of the herd. Since it would make no sense to eat this one as well, I pack it neatly in an envelope and send it to M&M Mars, A Division of Mars, Inc., Hackettstown, NJ 17840-1503 U.S.A., along with a 3x5 card reading, "Please use this M&M for breeding purposes."

This week they wrote back to thank me, and sent me a coupon for a free 1/2 pound bag of plain M&Ms. I consider this "grant money." I have set aside the weekend for a grand tournament. From a field of hundreds, we will discover the True Champion.

    There can be only one.
