Apparently, beat up wives do frequently attack the responding officers, too. I've read of this many times. If they are able to call the cops in an abusive situation, then why attack their rescuers?? I'll never understand that bullshit!

Most common answer. I love him, I just want him to stop beating me. I don't want him put in jail.

Yea, not very far from me either. Distant relative was a det. for RPD for years. Told me I wouldn't believe what people would do to each other. Wife's cousin was a deputy in La, hated those calls cause it was usually a repo and they had mean dogs. He hated to shoot dogs.

A horrible loss. An amazing officer and a fine husband and father with a strong moral and spiritual compass. The kind of man you want wearing a uniform. Left a loving wife and two daughters. A few days later, two officers from my former town were murdered by a POS with a long history. Only good thing is it looks like he is about to go goes up.

Eagle Gun Range in Lewisville(not sure about Farmers Branch location but I figured they are doing this too) is holding a raffle for a SCAR 16 or 17(I only saw the picture, it is FDE). All proceeds will go to the family of the deceased officer. Tickets are $10 a piece and I believe the drawing will be held on March 12th.
