I have the USP version, bought as a host when I purchased my Osprey years ago.
I like it quite a bit, great gun.
Also have one in .40.

My opinion is that until you tell us what you want to use it for, we can't make a serious recommendation.

My opinion is also that no one who posts this question in this way can really want a serious recommendation unless they are very new. If that's the case, we'd love to help.

But if you're just trolling (and using this question as your first post on a gun forum pretty much screams "Troll!!!"), then gird up your loins.

If you want something other than an antique firearm (1911), an S&W M&P 45 or 45 Compact would fit the bill nicely.

Though I love HKs, I could never get behind the USPs due to their near Desert Eagle size. If I am going to a pistol frame that big, I want to shoot more powerful ammo like 44mag or 50 AE.

For me the best 45 is 1911.
