Weather you use reloads or not, a gun should not blow up. I’ve ran thousands of reloaded rounds through my 1911 with no problem.

True. That's why, if I ever get a .40S&W, it will NOT be a Glock. Don't want to risk mixing mags and ammo.....

....besides, the best-shooting. 40's I've tried have been 1911s....

I've seen several shotgun barrels blown up but it was due to operator stupidity.
Have seen several revolvers blown apart due to improper handloads. Bullseye powder was notorious for this.
