Does the OP not realize that there ARE legally-owned quad-fifties in the hands of regular folks who are not FFL/SOTs?
Yes I do, probably far more then you may think. https://www.nytimes.com/1998/05/05/world/samuel-cummings-71-trader-in-weapons-on-a-grand-scale.html I knew him and knew him well, been to his warehouses on the Potomac many, many times, he dined in our home.

But the point is this: No one owns a Q-50 or any other item that is not encumbered, simple as that, meaning you can not walk in and buy with out the govt knowing about it. You don't walk in and pick up a FA weapon and walk out, there are restrictions.

To make a statement that says no laws, no way no how is not a line in the sand and the moment you say it you have lost the argument, the battle and are on the way to losing the war. The reason why began in 1934 and has continued ever since. Clinton gave us a 10 year ban on so called AW's. It keeps on keeping on and the response from some is NO way, not gonna happen...except its fait accompli and ALL the bravado talk changes nothing.

In order to survive the entire gun community must stand together and if you attitude is all or none then you have given the far left exactly the ammo they need to defeat us.

    The line in the sand:
When the call came in Vietnam that morning at dawn as I made my radio check, the guy said get to HQ ASAP you past your DEROS and we got to get you home. Couple of hours later I walked into HQ and said where are my orders. Here, turn in your Steel pot, flak jacket and M 16 and out process you need to be in Cam Rah Bay this afternoon.

I am NOT turning in my M 16 until I get on a chopper. Pfc, GO turn in that gear now! Not going to Capt! I will hand it over to you when I get on the chopper and not before. Bout that time the old grizzled SGM came around the corner and said "Sir, look at him, he has seen more shit than we can hand out and I don't think he cares what you say or what we do, I'll send the Co Armorer out with him to the pad, he can turn it over then..."

Are you John Kerry? You do not seem to be able to post in a thread without bringing up Vietnam.
    1) I consider that an insult. I travel thru Mustang Ridge a lot of business.

    2) I use it and lots of other examples to illustrate a point, but that is the teacher in me that believe you learn quick and understand best when you can see an example...

    3) Nothing I have done in my 70+ years has the lasting impact of that 12 mo in combat. The worst can be turned into positives but if it bothers you (and it appears to), put me on ignore if they have that feature.

Its OK, the hate for Vietnam veterans is alive and well, but generally quiet, the fact that you said something tells me exactly where you stand!

Let you in on a little secret, sport, you are not the only Nam Vet on this board.

You are, however, the only one who feels the need to mention it in almost every thread you start or post in, much like JK.

There are combat vets here that have seen 10x the horrors of war in the GWOT than anyone who fought in Vietnam could even imagine.

I dislike you because you are a sellout to the Constitution.

What part of “Shall not be infringed” do you have a hard time dealing with?

    Edited to add “could”

Did I ever say I was the ONLY "Nam vet"...just another lie by a keyboard warrior.

So I have mentioned it in 2400+ posts...just another lie.

Combat vets in GWOT saw 10x the horrors of war than Vietnam vets. So you are an authority on the horrors of war. Other than that I won't stoop to your level and address that you have no idea what I have seen, NONE.

Me a sellout, not hardly, I drew the line in the sand and I did not cross it then, not gonna cross tomorrow.

You are man full of a hate and anger, the kind displayed on TV by the other side. Careful, you true colors are beginning to show.

Send me a PM and you can repeat to a disabled combat vet face to face.

    Not. One. More. Inch.

Fûck anyone who wants to give it to them.

Not another inch. There are restrictions I'd personally have no problem with if they came about, but no. Anything they'll want, they're gonna have to fight for, and you know every compromise is just gonna be followed by more wailing of "why can't you compromise!?!?! we just want reeeeeaaaaasonable gun control!" So... no. Not another inch.

    Ole cowboy,

Pardon me for pointing out that you've gone from FOOLISHNESS to IDIOTIC NONSENSE in you posts.

I did my time in the mess to but I don't go around bragging about it, much less being SILLY enough to suggest that it was even close to the most important and/or seminal event of my 71 years.
(The loss of my much beloved "VK" to acute leukemia, just short of her 31st birthday, was harder on me than all of my tours OCONUS combined.)

Also, in 2018 I don't know even ONE hater of RVN vets or ANY vets for that matter, outside of the small minority of "violent peace advocates" of the FAR LEFT of the DIMocRATS Party.
    (Talk about an oxymoron!!)

ImVho, you owe "Hoji" a sincere & heartfelt apology for your hateful words.

Never said every post. Reading is fundamental.

Combat vets in GWOT saw 10x the horrors of war than Vietnam vets. So you are an authority on the horrors of war. Other than that I won't stoop to your level and address that you have no idea what I have seen, NONE.
I have seen some pretty ugly shit, I just don’t feel the need to brag online about the glory of days past

Me a sellout, not hardly, I drew the line in the sand and I did not cross it then, not gonna cross tomorrow.
Yet you are ok with giving up a little more of our rights. You have already crossed that line, sport.

You are man full of a hate and anger, the kind displayed on TV by the other side. Careful, you true colors are beginning to show. I have actually met and interact with people on this site( and others). If they feel like responding to my character ( here or in person) I will not take offense. I am abrasive and see things in monochrome( or black and white for those of you in Rio Linda)

Send me a PM and you can repeat to a disabled combat vet face to face. Callout posts can get you banned. I am easy enough to find if you would like to discuss why I believe you are a sellout to the Constitution

    Kar98; All,

Every time that I hear a HATE-FILLED "gun-grabbing" LEFTIST say that they want us to "compromise", I invariably ask them what part of the MORONIC FOOLISHNESS, that is part of their LEFTIST agenda, are they willing to give up, "to get a deal". = That question stops the (at least the leftists that are able to actually "think" & are "more or less honest") LEFTISTS in their tracks because they are UNWILLING to say what portion of their "anti-gun agenda" that they will EVER give up.

That's WHY I join the other "no compromise, not now, not ever crowd" in saying, "NOT one more inch" & am daily working to get all of the current "gun control laws" repealed.

Its the compromise that has got us to this point and that is not so much good.

Of course the drum beat is "Common Sense Gun Laws". Ask them who spew this: Please tell me what is Common Sense Gun Laws. So what is CSGL? To the left is not gun, to the gun folks, well its ALL OVER the map. We got folks on here that soon as they save enough $ they are going to buy a NUKE and they want nothing to prevent it and if you say No NUKES then they say your are "you are a sellout to the Constitution".

Then I hear "Not another inch". Ok, fine then what is another inch?

As we post the govt is looking at age 21 to buy a gun, is that an inch or is it less or more?

How about Universal NICS, so in order for me to sell to you, I have to do a NICS? An inch???

Till the gun community states what an inch is there is no inch...IMO we need to draw a line in the sand COLLECTIVELY. Because no one has defined the inch the left has been picking us off since 1934...

    Ole Cowboy,

Unless/until you NAME anyone who wants to own a nuke (other than a few more sovereign nations & terrorist organizations, OCONUS), you will continue to LOOK clueless, MORONIC & SILLY in the extreme.
CAN you NAME any such person in the USA??
Or shall we "persons of reasonably normal IQ" continue to laugh AT your nonsense??

Can't we just talk more about the quad-.50's?

Sent from my SM-G892A using Tapatalk

    seeker_two,

What do you want us to say about the old quad-50??
(All that I'll say is that I cannot afford to either buy or "feed" one on my pension, though "Ma Deuce" is my favorite FA weapon.)
