Yes I do, probably far more then you may think. https://www.nytimes.com/1998/05/05/world/samuel-cummings-71-trader-in-weapons-on-a-grand-scale.html I knew him and knew him well, been to his warehouses on the Potomac many, many times, he dined in our home.yawn
Does the OP not realize that there ARE legally-owned quad-fifties in the hands of regular folks who are not FFL/SOTs?
But the point is this: No one owns a Q-50 or any other item that is not encumbered, simple as that, meaning you can not walk in and buy with out the govt knowing about it. You don't walk in and pick up a FA weapon and walk out, there are restrictions.
To make a statement that says no laws, no way no how is not a line in the sand and the moment you say it you have lost the argument, the battle and are on the way to losing the war. The reason why began in 1934 and has continued ever since. Clinton gave us a 10 year ban on so called AW's. It keeps on keeping on and the response from some is NO way, not gonna happen...except its fait accompli and ALL the bravado talk changes nothing.
In order to survive the entire gun community must stand together and if you attitude is all or none then you have given the far left exactly the ammo they need to defeat us.
The line in the sand:
When the call came in Vietnam that morning at dawn as I made my radio check, the guy said get to HQ ASAP you past your DEROS and we got to get you home. Couple of hours later I walked into HQ and said where are my orders. Here, turn in your Steel pot, flak jacket and M 16 and out process you need to be in Cam Rah Bay this afternoon.
I am NOT turning in my M 16 until I get on a chopper. Pfc, GO turn in that gear now! Not going to Capt! I will hand it over to you when I get on the chopper and not before. Bout that time the old grizzled SGM came around the corner and said "Sir, look at him, he has seen more shit than we can hand out and I don't think he cares what you say or what we do, I'll send the Co Armorer out with him to the pad, he can turn it over then..."
