I'd have to include the bad stuff and the bad parts have been pretty bad. Overall, it would be a downer.

Why do you think that? We watch movies or read books about things we'd never do ourselves. You've been there and done stuff we've never imagined. Good or bad, it would be an interesting read for all of us.

You really should start a thread with just random thoughts and experiences that we can all follow. Easier that way since you don't have to think it out and put it in any sort of format.

I used to have an old neighbor that would come by, sit on the porch and ramble on with stories, many of which were repeated due to his advanced age, but fascinating none the less. He was born in the 1890's. I always regretted not getting a tape recorder out and recording some of his stories.

He talked about fighting in the first boxing match in Texas, according to him. The first time he heard a car, months before he ever saw one. Where the Indians used to camp around here. His first trip into town as a kid. When they got electricity or indoor plumbing. Stuff that was just a normal part of his life that was great to hear. To go from that to seeing a man on the moon is a technological leap I don't think anyone other generation will ever experience.

Your stories are of a decidedly different aspect, but just as fascinating to those of us who haven't experienced it. The internet would record the kind of things I wish I would have recorded with my neighbor if you'd care to share.

    Do people eat flour?
Or is it a "raw cookie dough" thing?

The question is a little ambiguous. In cookie dough, bread dough, uncooked egg noodles, cake batter there is uncooked flour so yes people eat flour. Chowing down on a spoonful of plain wheat flour isn’t too appetizing though. Whether uncooked flour is actually bad for you probably depends on how it is processed. As a kid in the wheat fields I munched on wheat kernels every harvest. If you want to know what real gluten is just chew a handful of wheat for several minutes without swallowing it. You will have a wad of gluten ‘gum’ before long. Humans process the nutrients in grain much better if it is cooked.
