    • More than 280,000 non-citizens in Texas are registered to vote, with another 4 million voters whose status cannot be determined. Ross Kecseg reports that grassroots activists are calling on Gov. Greg Abbott to “verify citizenship of all voter registrations.”

    • State Sen. Don Huffines (R–Dallas) has already committed to file legislation forcing the Texas Secretary of State to verify citizenship of all registered voters.

How much more of this kind of bullshit are we supposed to take before we DEMAND that changes be made?

I don't know why we are not protesting in the streets about this and all the other BS. And I really don't want to hear that we have jobs and families that keep us from doing it, because that is nothing more than excuse to do nothing.

I wish that someone with some organizational skills would take an interest this.

That right there is the reason we're loosing ground, no one on the right wants to protest against anything. Maybe it's due to the fact, that most folk on the right have full time jobs, a family to support and cant afford to miss a day or so of work, I know I can't. Maybe some of these big pro 2A organizations could fund a protest like the left does, rent a bus and ship em off to Austin or DC. But I don't see that happening, the right seems to like to do a lot of talking and not taking actions.

    .

What would happen if you took a day or 2 off from work?

    To All,

As my friends here know, I'm a Presiding Election Judge in Bexar County.

Governor Abbott, imVho, NEEDS to have every voting precinct's voter roll checked CAREFULLY for those who have moved, died or simply aren't eligible to vote.
(Personally, I believe that every Election Officer on my team of EO would volunteer to help CLEAN-UP the county's rolls.)

    yours, satx

Have you called or emailed the governor about it?

    To All,

I suspect that Bexar County's voter rolls are in just as bad shape as the county that I lived in VA before coming home to TX in 2012.

I was an Election Inspector in that county in VA & the County Council voted The Election Board enough money to do the entire county at once, using sworn Election Officers. = 81% of EO, county-wide, volunteered for the project.
(The Election Judges were paid 14.oo per hour & the EOs were paid 12.oo per hour, i.e., the same as at elections. = CHEAP at 2X the price paid.)

It took 8 working days (of 10 hours per EO = 7AM-7PM) of careful looking to find/fix the numerous problems, county-wide.
(As an EI, I helped out in 5 precincts & also at the Central Box that handles the mail-in ballots.)

The results in "a typical precinct" were as follows: 18 voters deceased, 22 moved out of precinct/county & 4 "ineligible to vote" for a variety of other reasons. = In other words the typical precinct had an "error rate" of 16%.

    yours, satx
