I never use more than one target per range visit.
    Why so many?

I wish I had a pic of the target I like to use but I don't. Its a silhouette with six smaller circular targets 3 on each side running from top to bottom. I start with 3 round bursts to all the small targets then use my last 7 shots on placement to the head and body. I limit each target to 25 rounds. It was how I trained when I took a close quarters combat class. If I shoot more than 100 rounds on my visit I buy more targets. Just a Frank thing I guess....LoL

    Fair enough.
    $6 extra on targets, ouch.

I'll typically put 6 1" dots on the upper 1/3 of the back of a silhouette target.
If I need more targets I rotate it 180 & add as required.
I generally shoot 250-300 rds per visit.

I pay around $150/yr at the Terrell Rifle and Pistol Club. Can shoot 365 days a year during daylight hours. Rifle range is only out to 200 yards, though, but they have decent trap and sporting clays and the folks are friendly.

I pay about $1000/mo. The facilities are kinda poor... There's only three hanging steel plates and one stand for paper targets. The berm is only big enough for one person to shoot at a time. Damn weeds only get mowed like every other month, and the place is overrun with chiggers, too.

I shoot at Bayou Rifles in the Houston area. They have 2 ranges. In northwest Houston its primarily a pistol range and rim fire range. Just southeast of Houston is their big range. It includes pistol bays, 25 yd, 50 yd, 100 yd, 200-300 yd, and 1000 yd as well as shotgun. Shooting on ranges over 300 yds requires you to show that you can shoot long range and be approved to use the 1000 yd range.
Members are allowed to bring 2 guests but members take priority over guests if it's ever that crowded.
Their are lots of shooting competitions members can compete in if they desire.
Cost this year was $165.00 a year. New members must also pay an additional $100.00 for a background check.
