I'm considering buying the new HENRY Carbine. I had the BIG BOY for several years, but I just didn't like it. So, I'm seriously considering the
Henry Carbine, in 45 LC. Anyone here have a Henry? Or, the Carbine? Thanks.
Have a Henry 45-70. Chose it over a Marlin due to all the negative reviews at the time with the "Remlins" .
Fit and finish.is excellant and I like the XS ghost ring rear sight and tube loading ( like a .22) but those are subjective things.
Mine was recalled due to issues with the tubular magazine but other than that no problems and I shoot some stout handloads through it. Good company to due business with. Not much made by American workers in America anymore.
I do have to say however that, when I bought my Henry Big Boy I wrote to the owner expressing how happy I was for buying the Henry. A bout a week later, the mail man showed up with a box filled with goodies - A Henry ball cap, a very nice ceramic coffee mug, and.... a stocking-like wool cap. That's A LOT, compared to the other makers. They all sent me a sticker. LOL!
