Drawing a close parallel analogy, are red light camera violations in Hurst, TX not valid because they were issued by an unmanned (i.e., “real cop”) red light camera?

Just follow the money and you will know all that i needed to know. As far as campus police, they are there to protect the professors and the campus buildings not the students or other non college personal.

I can't speak for all campuses, but ours the students come first. I have never seen the police act in any manor that would validate your statement.

They were manned, by the cop at the station responsible for them. :green:
And that’s what I’m suggesting too. Until or unless the bus stop camera photos are validated and endorsed by an appropriate law enforcement agency, I would guess they do not carry the force of law and don’t represent a valid “fine”.

Just wondering if this is the reasoning behind SA_Steve’s lawyer saying, “just throw it away”. And is it the same reasoning why some ISDs have given up on the procedure (assuming the citations may not have actually been issued through a law enforcement agency)?

As there is no criminal penalty associated with these citations, no arrest warrant will be issued nor will it be recorded on your driving record; but like red light cameras, failure to pay could result in that information possibly being sent to the Texas DMV and a "scofflaw hold"--or a vehicle registration hold--could be placed on the vehicle’s registration until all unpaid penalties have been paid (IAW the Texas Transportation Code §502.010 and §707.017).

Not sure if the City of San Antonio and/or Bexar County is doing that, but it's a possibility...

Typical greedy bastards hitting on a illicit scheme to defraud Texans. This sort of thing is going on all over the country, fueled by the sort of race baiting assholes that run...well, every big city these days and most especially San Antonio.

A La Raza racist hellhole currently trying to...ban gun shows...if I may drift the thread a bit...

Sorry, but driving past a stopped school bus with red lights and a sign out isn't "a illicit scheme to defraud Texans." I don't agree with the "outsourcing" of the solution; but the problem definitely needs addressing as I see violations all the time. These cameras need to be bought and operated by the ISD police agencies, with no third-party involved...

And Gov. Abbott signed the statute that allows them to refuse to register your car. Its one of so many things Abbott supports in reality while he lies about being against them.

I miss you not being able to do that, too. However, there were too many people simply cutting and pasting entire articles, drawing letters from lawyers.

    I know...
