If you really pitied me, you'd send me steak!I pity you. At times you can sound rather intelligent, and at other times you sound as if you parrot the leftist propaganda.

WTF???The closer we get to an all time record length shutdown the farther we get from the fact that, ultimately, we all are on the same team.
Trump should get his wall and Pelosi et al should get something that they want even if Trump disagrees.
When you play for just one team all can and should win.
Both sided are focusing far too much on creating a loss for the opposition rather than a win-win for America.
I'm intentionally oversimplifying, granted, though this isn't rocket surgery.
WTF???
Seriously???
First, no one should always win.
...
NoUh...yes.
Very seriously.
America should win. Always.
Point your WTF somewhere else, please.
What legislation are you talking about? Trump is still waiting on that. That's what he is asking for. Or are you talking about a promissory note?Had Trump have said "I will sign legislation supporting X, Y and Z Democratic requests provided they fund the wall" he would have looked presidential and appeared to be a compromising leader.
They are all on "Team America" dammit.

Typically a member of Congress will introduce a bill on his behalf.Only congress can introduce a bill. The president may suggest a bill and sign a bill into law or veto them, but he can't write up a bill.
Basically what I said since it takes congress to introduce a bill.
Remind me to smack you the next I see you.But you don’t understand; the president gets a sponsor in Congress to introduce a bill on his behalf.

And, yes, the consensus seemed to be that improving the physical barrier on the border is needed but numerous other personnel issues and technology improvements are also necessary.
There really was scant debate.
I still think that that is the national consensus on both sides is that we need a better wall and a lot more.
Thump's grotesquely oversimplified "Build The Wall" chant helped him get elected but, in isolation, devoid of other improvements the wall is sorely inadequate and I still find it disturbing that so much of our nation has taken an enormously complex issue and winnowed it down to wall vs. no-wall.
Trump and the democrats should mutually acquiesce to each other's will and grant one another much or all of what they are asking. That is particularly true in this debate because there is, politics aside, little disagreement. We seem to have lost that insight.
Unfortunately this was the week that out leaders, if we can call them that, quit trying to compromise as evidenced by the terrible polarization and hideous performance by the three of them two nights ago on prime time TV.
My relatives at the post-rosary dinner and most of our society want the same thing. The division is a manufactured illusion.
I'll reassert my baseline contention:
Americans have elected 280 Democrats and 252 Republicans to congress.
We are all on the same side. Team USA!
