Yep. That's my experience too. And as a lefty, I absolutely prefer the cylinder release on the Rugers vs. S&W/Colt/etc. I think for right-handers, it's less of an issue.I had the stainless version of this years ago. 7.5” 44 mag, bought it from a former member of this forum. Loved the gun, but traded it down for something far less valuable and some cash down the line.
The gun soaked up the recoil and was quite a tack driver.

Love those grips on the bottom gun. Looks like some an old farmer pal turned out using some kinda Mexican iron wood. What kinda wood is it? ThanksI have shot both extensively, and don’t believe you can go wrong with either. I have this Redhawk .

Both shoot amazingly well.
Little easier to pinch a glove would be my only guess as to what the feature could hurt.Never noticed it until you asked.
Marlin papoose. 1988 model blues steel and wood
I found that because I was bored and just going back through the last year in the classifieds to see what I missed out on while I was away for work.It brings a small tear to my eye when I see somebody sell a gun on the forum and then the buyer post about it here.
Except when Robert bought the K31. That was a lot of tears because I wanted it too.
