The 80’s is....... embarrassing, to put it mildly.
It was one hell of ride.
Embarassing? Gotta disagree. Great decade for music.
For all the insanity it was a mild decade compared to today. The 80’s is....... embarrassing, to put it mildly.

It is good, the timeline sucks.I have to agree with Leroy. The 80’s were fucking awesome. My leisure suit was embarrassing! I am SO glad we didn’t have all those phones & cameras around. I’d still be in jail.
crue rocked hard. They have some killer & iconic licks. I want to see this film.
Born in ‘80 so sure great music. Was still a lot of great gospel still around plus Alabama, George Strait, and others.
Hair bands and stuff, nah, I’ll pass.
I work with two of Reese Wynans' (keyboardist for SRV) brothers. It's kinda funny how small this big ol' world is.I agree with the music being a positive factor. I’ve been playing guitar since I was 14 and had one of the best mentors on the planet. I grew up in Oak Cliff. My mother’s best friend was Martha Vaughn. Stevie & Jimmy Vaughn’s mother.
Without going into detail I had a front row seat to the music/entertainment industry. One of the reasons I went into the service was to escape the insanity and excesses of it all.
That dude is a trip....back stage was pretty awesome.
I was friends with Tommy's mom. My aunt sold her a house there in Bullhead City, AZ. Got to drive her to the Saints of LA concert in Vegas around 2008. Chilled out with them in Tommy's dressing room. That dude is a trip.
Not into that music.... but seeing them up close back stage was pretty awesome.
And the dang road crews work their butts off setting up the bands equipment. Pretty amazing they can do it show after show.
lol !!! Very true. I can't recall who it was, but I was inside one of the booths on the floor of the show where some vendors do those little standing room only gigs. Band finishes playing, and singer drops his drawers and makes the Shure SM58 disappear.I’ve lost count of the backstage passes and parties and have seen enough dysfunction to write several books. It’s the little things that scar you, you just don’t know it at the time. Every time I see a cucumber in a grocery store I think back about my life’s experiences. No bs.
When you’re young, into music, making tons of money, hanging out with A-listers, getting more attention and more ass than a Walmart toilet seat, you can quickly go astray without a strong moral compass.

I think it was actually a Beta 58, but same difference in that ... uh. application.A 58! That's impressive. Now had you said a 57, not so much.
