The Left views gun owners as slack jawed inbred idiots. There's no need to reinforce their belief. I'm assuming that almost everyone on this forum had the chance to receive a free public school education. The person who taught me mastercam and how to machine; who is a master machinists, had a shitty family and he never graduated high school. He is worse than I am at spelling but the man is brilliant. I wish I was as good of a welder and machinist as he is.

People love to use the excuse, it's just the internet and/or it's just the internet to cover their mistakes.

I've got a buddy who teaches at the college level. He teaches Writing 101 as one of his classes. At the beginning of every semester he hands out a sheet of various ways to flunk his class.

Included on that sheet are things like alot, payed, saled, mixing up their, there, they're, two, to, too, four, for, fore, pair, pare, pear, sail, sale, sell, threw, through, weather, wether, whether, were, we're, weak, week and his real pet peeve, using texting shortcuts on a paper.

The worksheet provides correct examples of all the words listed. You get two strikes and you fail. About 50% of the class fail in the first couple of weeks.

These kids, and some adults, will tell you it doesn't matter how they spell words or use the incorrect word on the internet or their phone. The truth is they can't make the switch between a graded paper and texting.

Seeing this kind of stuff is like nails on a chalkboard to me.
