A slew of public figures, including celebrities, took to social media to celebrate Koch's passing. Some taunted his equally-famous brother, Charles, openly wishing he would be soon to follow.

Hollywood actress Bette Midler proudly cheered Koch's death in a series of tweets and retweets for her 1.7 million followers to see: "I tweeted the [sic] #CharlesKoch had died, instead of #DavidKochIsDEAD. I'm sorry to give others false hope. Guess it was just wistful thinking. As we watch the Amazon Rainforest burning, all the #GlobalWarming culprits are foremost in one's mind."

It got me thinking. RBG just announced she had pancreatic cancer, AGAIN. That shit's deadly enough with low survival rates but shes had it 3 x. Or 1 and 2 relapses , regardless that woman needs to present her self for a full scientific work up. What ever shes taking I want some.

Joking about her constant cancers falls and such is one thing but no one wants her dead or will be playing water sports at the Ginsberg crypt as they dance on her grave. Her and Koch are both Americans who have poured their talents in the service of others. Regardless of their politics. Joking about flooding the court with free bananas and slippery peels aside, anyone who gleefully cheers her death will be the same kind of trash.

I’m looking forward to the RBG replacement Justice confirmation hearing. (candcallen, I have no doubt what you’ve said is - will be - true). However, I think Lindsey Graham will run a “tighter ship” than what Grassley allowed to occur. Sen. Grassley was the main reason Kavanaugh’s hearing confirmation got so out of control. Somebody needed to jerk a knot in Feinstein’s tail and Grassley certainly wasn’t the one to do it.

Harry Ried was warned about the same danger in changing Senate rules for confirmations.

As Obama famously said, “Elections have consequences.” It’s just that now, the shoe is on the other foot! Probably the most lasting legacy Trump will leave behind, will be represented for at least the next full generation (perhaps, two) by the federal court system. We’re going to have a much more mindful Constitutional interpretation of laws. You can call that “conservative” or not (your choice) but the result will be much less “legislating from the bench”.

My main concern with the ‘Robert’s Court’ has been their tendency to “rule narrowly” on specific matters of the pending lawsuit. They’ve been very reluctant to make broader, more sweeping constitutional-wide type findings. It’s almost like they run away from The Constitution.

Gleefully celebrating the death of people you dont know or really know about simply because they hold different positions on some things allows, or is it because, one to dehumanize others to the point they think things like slavery or the Holocaust or racism are justified cause they're right and your wrong and really you're not human and we know what's best. Kinda like peta kills untold numbers of animals to save them or stop suffering or because they know best. They dont value life, they value the unquestioned power to control life.
