yes I do not recall the numbers exactly. But after thinking about it seem like a bogus statistic since it did not filter out folks who were under influence of drugs or alcohol.
Are the tired or distracted people ok or dismiss them too?

What kind of drugs or alcohol? How much? What's your cut off for the magical too impaired line to matter?

Not trying to be an ars just pointing out a flaw in such assumptions. Also saying that I wouldnt necessarily disagree depending on the individual person but calling it bogus is screaming assumption bias.

guyger had zero drugs and alcohol. So if if you wanted a fair comparison that would be the threshold. You would probably also want to eliminate folks who had just moved in and were not familiar with the building yet. Apples to apples, not apples to oranges

Reality is it does not matter what other people do. And as I pointed out earlier the results can be interpreted different ways by the jurors. So it could help or hurt depending on juror or view.

Crying now, when asked about “that night”. Taking a break.

not implying it is fake, i do believe she is truly sad and emotional.

    gonna be a gripping testimony.

I think it’s important that she knew maintenance would be entering apartments unannounced for moisture tests. I know it’s the wrong time of day. But when you rent an apartment it’s not unusual for maintenance to have access.

I feel horrible for her and the victim and his family. However, I would like to know her mental process for deciding to fire, before making sure she was at the right apartment and the person inside wasn’t innocent (like a maintenance person).

I doubt most would be thinking maintenance was in their so late at night sitting on couch eating ice cream.
Her mental process I think has been made known thru the investigation - she thought she was in her apt. And someone was in it. When that occurs most people are not in the moment gonna think am I in the right spot.

Defense will use mistake of fact and it appears some jury members were getting tired of hearing the prosecution and their witnesses. It will be interesting when they poll the jury to see how each voted. Getting 12 people to agree this was murder is very improbable in my opinion.

The judge carrying on into Saturday is also interesting.

    I'm confused.
In her testimony she stated that the courtyard was a landmark and her apartment was on the right.
Even if she was coming from the opposite direction these officers are, it doesn't work, because her door would be before she even gets to the courtyard.

She stated that when she realized that the door was ajar, she knew someone was in her apartment.
    And, she was terrified.
.....and a dark figure came towards her off the couch. (in the darkness)

....and she screamed "Let me see your hands" twice.

...and the figure continued the advanced without showing their hands while yelling "HEY HEY"

    ....and she shot.

If it’s dark, how would she be able to see his hands?

Sorry, I don’t see positive ID of a threat.

I think she did a good job of expressing her fear.

However, I agree with you. How could she see his hands if it was dark? She never said he wasn’t trying to show him his hands?

This does exhibit to me a good example of why someone shouldn’t talk to 911 more than one has to.

IMO, she would’ve been better off identifying the need for an ambulance, the nature of the injury and her location.

It is extremely unusual for maintenance to enter unannounced. It would only be in an emergency. Tests and inspections are always announced several days ahead.

They had announced they’d be entering apartments for moisture tests. That’s why she sent her dog to her mother’s. She knew maintenance would be entering her apartment.

Now, she says the apartment was dark, which helps explain her fear. However, I would like to know how she knows he wasn’t trying to show his hands.

I’m glad I’m not on that jury. It seems like it’d be a very tough decision.
