Ya' know I just can't resist...

"At least the weather is better", Trump replied sunnily

Lighthearted AND on topic, surely no one could misinterpret that post.

    Facetious is still okay right?

I always loved visiting South Carolina, very friendly people and plenty of our nations history to explore.
Some of the best meals I've ever had were at RB's on Shem Creek in Mt Pleasant. Fresh seafood right off the boat and into the kitchen. Wonder if RB's is still there.
RB's still open according to Yelp

Panhandle Floridians are southerners. Most of the people in south florida are carpetbaggers, the elderly and cubans

Think that sums up what I was trying to get across. I spent about a year in Orlando, then 5 at Eglin AFB, aka Fort Walton, about as panhandle as you can get, and a few months back in '69 at Tyndall AFB at Panama City/Mexico Beach

What a very interesting and at times funny thread. First of all, I've been more Texan than a lot of native born Texans. From Massachusetts, at the age of 18, I joined the NRA. I've been a member since! I've worked hard my whole life and never taken a penny from either anyone else or the government. I stood up for the things that are right such as God, Family, and Country. I've fought head to head with those that attack our Conservative Christian values wherever they would be. I fought on our streets, college campuses, work places, etc...I never back down. I stood up for our beautiful American flag in Amherst Massachusetts when they were trying to replace it with the UN flag in the town center. I think that Amherst is more communist than China. I've stood alone quite often. Massachusetts is a spiritual and moral wasteland that I wrestled with for many years. My wife and I were active members of the 'Tea Party' there. Those few poor souls trying to turn a Tsunami tide of all that is unrighteous. We are pro-life, pro-God, pro-2nd amendment. Might as well have leprosy in Massachusetts. Finally got sick of it. We sold our house, packed our bags, and headed West. We moved from Massachusetts to Texas in 2012. We crossed the border and have felt like we were finally home. Now we warn "Texans" that are about as Texan as a Socialist college professor in Amherst Massachusetts about what is coming to our beautiful state.
Lastly, for those using crude language and insulting rhetoric on this or any other medium, you sound like a pissed off liberal in a Massachusetts college. Same spirit! You're not making Texas a better place. You will turn it into another Massachusetts.

You were in school about the same generation I was. Latin was a required course in most schools way back when.
It is the language English is based on.;)

English is more closely related to German. In the 50s and 60s only the Catholic schools required Latin that we said the Altar Boys could understand the priest. At least where I lived.
