Any suggestions on keeping a possum off my porch besides shoot it or stop feeding the cats?

When I see it I run it I off with a walking stick and it doesn't bother me except the cats eat plenty, dont need to feed possums too.

Did have racoons coming up there but shot 11 of them and haven't seen them in a while.

Keep 'em around, they'll do you some good. They will eat a lot of bugs that you don't want around. And they'll eat dead animal stuff laying around. I'd be happy to trade about half dozen armadillo for your possum any day of the week.
