I am going to try my hand on the BB6.

I placed the order from Classic earlier this week. At $289 I figured what the heck... It will either be a POS that I get rid of early next year, or it may get mixed into my LTC practice. I like the red dot slide feature and the short sight option. Who knows, only time will tell. After scouring the internet I only found a handful of reviews/videos on it. I may just make one of my own if I like it.

    Short sight option?

The Ruger New Model Single Six Convertible with 22LR & 22WMR cylinders, that I had bid on on the 8th, arrived at my local gun store today and I picked it up pronto. Sometmes I do myself proud with the guns I get at auction, this time was one of those. It is in excellent condition althoigh there is one ding in the metal that I am thinking is brand new (nice and shiny white metal showing) so am thinking maybe someone at the gun store dropped it since the auction house owner (whom I trust implicitly) told me it was 98% and made no mention of the ding. Why they opened it before I got there is beyond me; I requested last time they open my gun shipments only when I am there. Oh well, it is barely noticeable ad I can live with it. Anyway, this is the one I am going to gift to my son for a Christmas present. Pics below:

This one has a 5.5" barrel (center one in pic below). Had I decided to keep it, it would have had good company in the form of another New Model Single Six Convertible with 6.5" barrel (top one in below pic) and an Single Six Convertible of the old model variety (bottom one in the pic below). The old model is all original and thus does not have the Ruger fix - or in other words - it was never sent in to have the transfer bar kit installed.

I also have a Colt Frontier Scout and a Hi-Standard Double Nine, both also single action 22 caliber revolvers. Don't know exactly why I got into single action 22 revolvers, but started buying them, I guess last year. I suppose it was the single action revolver bug that bit me or something like that. I did a serial number check on the latest one and found it was manufactured in 1976 - so it's a bicentennial gun! Other than that, the only thing maybe a little special about it is that it apparently has walnut grips which were discontinued on this model a long time ago.

An older Gentleman and his wife brought this M1A Scout in today and wanted to sell it. He bought in 2013 and suffered a stroke soon after losing his eyesight in his right eye. Said it had been sitting long enough and he never shot it. Still wrapped in the plastic with the tags still attached. My wife told me to keep it......who am I to say no?

    That's cheaper?

Saiga and Vepr are going for over 2k and I really don't want a heavy milled receiver Arsenal which are going for 1,500 plus used. The MDC AK Classic was only $1,349 and is built using military grade Polish parts with a heavy American made barrel, each rifle is built by hand. They claim the rifle will outperform the original Russian rifles and they back it with a lifetime warranty. At $1,349 it's acceptable to me, I don't have or want a huge gun collection, I just want one quality example of each rifle that interests me.

Here's one of the higher end models being tested.

    They also have an RPK.
