Well not really.I inherited a USGI 1911 that came in parts and is in dire need of a through cleaning. When trying to take the frame apart I was unable to take the thumb safety off so I'm stuck.
Would appreciate some help from someone in the San Antonio area who has experience with 1911.
Would appreciate the help. I've never had this much trouble with a 1911.Ah'm right up the road from you in New Braunfels - you're welcome to swing by an' we'll get her fixed right up!

See, I keep telling people to shoot their Glocks and show off their 1911s.
When they don't listen we end up here......
Yer givin' slingshots a bad name!
It wasnt a 1911 that brought down goliath.Yer givin' slingshots a bad name!

Thanks for clearing that up and adding just one more thing glocks can do.
Once again, Glocks try to take credit because they "kinda" look like something else.......lol
Whenever you're ready!
Couldn't ask for a nicer guy to help...AND he knows 1911s!
Bob
I am rather clumsy so I'll be wary.LOL!!!! Nah - it won't be the first time I've helped someone get a 1911 back into shootin' condition. It's just an obligation I feel we owe fellow shooters.
Now, if he happens to trip an' fall on the way out the door an' has to go to get medical attention........
