Ground stop at DFW. I should be in my first class seat at 20,000 ft & climbing. Instead, I'm still breathing the same air as the coach passengers in the terminal waiting area. No warm towels even!
Oh the humanity!! We were in coach coming back from Jordan. 15 hours with a 4 hour layover in Frankfurt was brutal.

    Mornin' y'all

Sad, missed a coyote yesterday afternoon by close to a foot with a .357 Henry, couldn't have been more than 125-150 yards. Maybe I need to have my eyeglasses prescription checked.

Got him on the second shot I think but damn near got the Gator stuck trying to get out there. Buzzards this morning so that's a promising sign.

Monday definitely put me through the wringer yesterday. I'm so glad it's done. Now if we can just sneak through Tuesday, that will get us to Hump Day, then Friday Eve, then Friday. So this is basically almost the weekend.

Good morning, with maybe 7 minutes left to it.

As for the Bruce Protocol (aka: Bruce Stress Test); I have had that before twice, once in 2009 when I suffered from acute altitude sickness but was not diagnosed with that until after a battery of cardiac tests and once when GERD caused me to have severe pains that mimicked a heart attack. I do not remember if I had one when I entered government service but it is possible (not possible to recall everything from 40.5 years ago). The tests were intense even though I was in much better shape for each. I think that the incline is mostly what gets you. I'd not want to try to complete one nowadays with the extra 60 or so pounds I have put on since my younger days. As for the physical fitness requirements of my LE days, they were pretty intense for the Border Patrol back in 1979. Running starting from a few up to 10 miles per day (we told it was only 5 miles until someone measured it and then another guy confirmed the measurements) was pretty tough since I smoked at the time. Of course then there were the calisthenics, the free weights, the swimming, the drown proofing, the hand to hand combat training, the obstacle course (all pretty much in that order) - all followed by the timed 1.5 mile run. Then in the field keeping fit to use all of that when fighting with illegal aliens and drug smugglers trying to injure, even some trying to kill, us. Yep physical fitness in my LE career was easy street for some - just not for me!

Did another 3 mile or so walk with the mongrel this morning, then another one plus mile walk a little while ago and the old ticker is still ticking! Probable get in another 2 to 4 miles before the day is done depending on the weather.

I'm rerouted through DC but still headed out. Now, I need some warm nuts.

First one to put that in OOC wins Moonpie's Glock.

Isn’t that about 1,000 miles out of the way?

As for warming your groinal section, didn’t a politician get arrested for something like that in an airport a few years ago?

    Don’t do what he did.
