I've grilled tilapia on the propane grill before, but I've never smoked it. (I know, It's hard to smoke a fish because they keep going out! )
With time on my hands, I decided to give it a try. I took 6 of the individually frozen filets, thawed them and put them in the electric smoker preheated @ 200 degrees. The recipe I consulted said 2 hours. I checked at 1 hour and ten minutes and they were perfectly done! Not too smoky, and falling apart!
I highly recommend it. I'll be doing this again! Oh, I used apple wood chips because that's all I had.
