While I don’t disagree with that notion, he hasn’t presented a balanced budget yet.
Thank you for affirming that I still have a right to cast my vote as I see fit to.
I am not way mad or upset with you or anyone else, if that is what you think. I FIRMLY believe that individuals with different political opinions can have discussions, even arguments, and still be cordial, hell even friends.

Thank you for that sir. Yes, in the end, it's your vote to cast as you wish. I fully support and advocate that right. I may disagree with your choice on who you vote for, but I support your right to make that choice.

We will just have to agree to disagree on this matter. Cheers to you!

I’ve voted for several libertarians over the years. If they have a better plan the their opponent, I’ll vote for them. @Antonio looking at their current presidential candidate I personally wouldn’t vote for her as I have more problems with some her stances than I do with her opponents. Sure the ATF thing sounds good but I kind of like borders, especially when once you get here we give everything away for free. Those are bigger problems and not ones anyone has a solution for removing yet.

Trump has been no friend of the 2A but I do approve of most of his judicial appointments and what he has done in rolling back regulations.

The Libertarian party in last election had its best showing 3.3%. I appreciate the sentiment that only two parties is silly But! it is the reality

I listened to an interview with Jorgenson done by a Libertarian podcaster....

    https://tomwoods.com/ep-1663-dr-jo-jorgensen-lp-presidential-nominee/

To be honest, I'm not impressed. Her background seems to be primarily political activism with little real-world experience. I don't want another politician....I want a citizen who wants to serve well. Of the three, Trump is the only one who fits that profile.

Thank you for sharing. I have listened it today and really enjoyed the interview. Seems to be a dignified person, I didn't notice any "extreme libertarian" statements.
Also checked out the podcast # 1670 with Jo's running mate Spike Cohen.

In 38 years the Libertarian Party has garnered ONE Electoral vote and in 2016 their candidate didn't get one, but a former candidate did get one even though he was not on the ballot. Voting might generally be about voting for the best candidate or one that offers promise to fulfill your particular needs; this year voting is about possibly staving off the immediate destruction of the United States of America. Justice Ginsberg has not retired yet for a reason. She will hang on till after the election with hopes that Biden will be President and he will appoint a far left Justice. You will then see Justice Roberts retire and a very good chance that another Conservative Justice will go on a hunting trip and wake up dead with no autopsy ever being performed(Scalia). This is an all out push to put the new age one world socialist government in solidly in power by 2022. At this point it is not about Democrat od Republican party candidates. It is about preventing a new socialist state.

    Define magical number.
And if you believe voting for the “lesser of two Evils” for the rest of your life is going to change a damn thing, you're either naive, delusional or have some really great drugs!
So in essence, a third party vote would be voting for the lesser of three evils. The final outcome is the same though.

I did....and I'm even less impressed with him. Anyone who tries to pass Vermin Supreme off as a legitimate political voice is hardly someone that has a snowball's chance at any elected position.

I’m not arguing with you, but it’s interesting that you could have substituted Donald Trump for Vermin Supreme in the above sentence 6-8 years ago.

Vermin would get more votes than Jo. One of the problems with the Libertarian party is they try to put up a rational or "best of both worlds" candidate. It's clear a rational candidate will never get anywhere. Go with the loose cannon.

    Next go round.

    Trump: Yes
Cornyn: NO (never have, no difference)
    Abbott: No
District 17: might as well vote for Mickey Mouse as for the two major R candidates, both trash.
Cruz: Has sponsored term limit legislation limiting senators to 2 terms. If he runs for a third term is it not hypocrisy to vote for him? (I’d like to see him on SCOTUS personally)

Agree with you there, especially about D17.

If not appointed to SCOTUS, would like to see Cruz run for Texas governor and primary Abbott out on his butt.....

I think the real problem with the Libertarian party is that they want to dive right in to the deep end of the adult pool without ever having learned to tread water.
Win some local elections and send a few Congressmen to Washington first. Get some name recognition. Let folks know who you are and what you are about. Then send in a guy or gal to run for President.

When you vote for a candidate who has zero chance of winning, you will be failing to keep the left wing out of control. You will in essence be abdicating to the Biden.

"All that is needed for evil to succeed is for good men to do nothing." And by voting for a candidate who has zero chance of winning, you will be doing nothing.

I will vote for Trump. .....

    So what do you do?

My vote is precious to me!
    It's got to count!
    I'm voting for President Trump!

If you cant vote for one vote against the worst possible outcome.

Any vote not cast or cast for a 3rd party is a vote for the worst possible outcome. Vote for our bumbling buffoon of a president.

You think these rioters and marxist pos are bad now imagine a virtue signaling feckless biden as president, er who ever his Vice president is as president.

This is the kind of bullshit that keeps you in a 2 party system. I'm voting for Jo Jorgenson just like I voted for Gary Johnson.

For everyone, it's better to vote for your principles than vote against someone else's.

I did....and I'm even less impressed with him. Anyone who tries to pass Vermin Supreme off as a legitimate political voice is hardly someone that has a snowball's chance at any elected position.

His persona is a satirical troll. If you listen to him actually speak, unlike most of these people in this thread, he's quite eloquent.

Voters don't want satirical trolls. They want actual change from a serious candidate. This is why you don't see Steven Colbert or Mark Levine running for office. And it's why the LP will never gain serious consideration as long as it tries to legitimize VS....
