These are becoming more common as the police do nothing.

I would suggest avoidance or de-escalation. Going to guns or running them over might get you killed. More and more of these folks are armed, and when they have 360 of your vehicle, you will not see everyone with a gun. Even the Austin guy got lucky the second shooter missed.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not abdicating going out and plowing down protestors. I believe anyone with any common sense whatsoever is staying the hell away from anything to do with these protests. I'm just pointing out that momentum, and inertia go a long way.

Its sad to see what has happened to Indianapolis. I spent 34 yrs there as a police officer. It used to be a very clean city and the crime rate was pretty low compared to other cities that size. They now have a Democrat mayor with no balls. He let the riots go on there and had the police stand down. Now he lets them paint BLM on the streets and refuses to talk with the business owners who had their businesses destroyed by refusing to let police stop them. Its another Chicago now .

1) didn't realize a riot was happening
2) knew a riot was happening but made a wrong turn
3) had to go downtown for some emergency
4) etc

I'll make this promise to everyone: If you are confronted by some BLM/antifa rioters and defend yourself by running them over with your car, shooting them, whatever, and I am on your jury, I swear you will not be convicted of a single crime by my jury.
