    In Europe back in the 70’s the Swedes were selling “tube eggs.” The yolks were separated and extruded as long tubes with the whites added in the extrusion process later. You got perfect slices of “egg” in your salads. And yeah, they tasted funny. Part of what they put into the eggs was lecithin. Blaaagh!

    I saw these "tube eggs" being used in a Jasons Deli Arlington, TX. They were cutting the up for use in their salads. Caught my eye because they were so unusual.

    Company I used to work for would stock the fridge with boiled eggs. I forget the brand, but they came in blister packs of two eggs. Ingredients were just eggs and saltwater... I'm guessing the saltwater had something to do with the peeling process. They were packaged somewhere in Texas, but I forget the city now. They were very consistently cooked; no grey rings on the yolk. No odd flavors. Just a boring chicken eggs.
