Let me try to explain this in small words.

NAZIs were a political party/religion.


Being a member of ANY political party was against the law for the Wermacht, even the NAZI party.

Not all German soldiers during WWII were sympathetic to NAZI beliefs and many were down right opposed to them.

Now, to make the above relevant.

Our Commander in Chief is a Republican. That doesn't make everyone in the country a Republican and certainly doesn't make those who serve our country Republicans.
It also doesn't mean that just because our country does something, the citizens uniformly support it and it definitely doesn't mean the military supports something like abortion, masks or lockdowns. Some may, but not all.

Do I think we needed to wage a war of occupation in Iraq and Afghanistan? No, I dont move into the neighbors house if I have a beef. I **** him up and go home. Does that mean I have any less respect for those who serve or served in our military. Absofuckinglutly not.

I question whether you actually are an 11B with your attitude.

At the strongest level of membership in the Nazi party, only about 10% of Germans were members (1944-7 million) I lived in Germany in mid 50's and most of the Germans I knew hated the Nazis, as oppressors and thugs. I remember one old woman who lived across from our housing talk about how the Nazis disarmed the population and made most means of resistance illegal and unavailable. What has stayed with me to this day, " You Americans have a guaranteed right to own guns to fight your government if they try to take over., You would be fools to give up that right."

This is not to say that they were our biggest fans they were pretty angry still about having their towns bombed and blasted into rubble and the loss of a huge number of their young men did not sit well with them, though their first point of anger was Hitler and the Nazi machine.

So no we did not kill Nazis, we killed German soldiers who were either forced to serve (drafted)or enlisted for patriotic reasons. Yes we did kill Nazis, but they were a minority -Gestapo - secret police,Schtzenstaffel (SS) of which there were three divisions but most infamous was Waffen SS- military branch of the Nazis,
