    In the woods...
    I have a Ruger Mark 1 and a Mark II, but have been wanting something more compact for practice, woods carry, etc.
    Perhaps a .22 lr conversion for my G 26, which I regularly carry?
    Are they reliable? Worth it? Which one? Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.

    Advantage Arms. Need to feed a steady diet of CCI MiniMags or CCI Blazer. Mine g FFL or my G29 has been excellent.

    Fantastic customer service as well.

    I have the Advantage Arms conversion for my Glock 23. Love it. Ended up building a Polymer 80 frame for it to live on. I would not hesitate to get another for my Glock 27.

    I have an Advantage Arms for my G19 and am happy with it. I might get a dedicated lower at some point.

    With prices and supplies as they are a G44 might be worth looking at.

    I considered the same route for the conversion kit for my 45. What I wound up doing was just buying a dedicated 22 from GSG sport imports shaped just like a 45. Runs just fine. Good accuracy. I did find it with some cheaper 22s it could get dirty and sluggish but if I kept it clean and ran good ammo may shoot all day.

    I just bought a Glock 44 to go with my 19 and 26's. Easier to keep up with a whole pistol than pieces and parts of a conversion kit. Also using one doesn't disable the other like the conversion kit does.

    Gunz are icky.
    I’d stay away from a Glock 44.
    Just today the local indoor range showed me a blown up 44.
    Front of the slide cracked wide open.
