I've never even heard of Parler, but then again forum's are as Social Media as I get. I guess I don't find what all of you are complaining about relevant to my lively hood.

I have been using Parler for a few days now. I shut down my Twit account last Thursday. I was trying to get worked up about the AWS plan to shut it all down. But, actually, I think it is a good thing. For one, they now join the ranks of Twitter as publishers and when the Section 230 protections go away, it hits them, too. Also, it WILL affect their business model. Who wants to sign on with them, knowing that if they take a dislike to your business model you can be axed in a matter of hours? I believe it may scare many away, even if they are woke leftists. It's creepy.
I don’t use Parler, Facebook, Twitter, or any of the other ones so I couldn’t care less. Privately owned companies should be able to do what they want (they shouldn’t be protected by the gov’t either tho, can’t have it both ways). Don’t like their rules, don’t give them your business. Maybe if their subscriber base was cut in half it would get their attention?
I like Trump’s idea of starting up his own social media platform just as anyone is free to do. Then you can say anything you want and kick out all the Liberals

I absolutely agree on business model for all these wokesters. There is ZERO chance I will buy another Apple product ever in my lifetime. When I need a new phone, it is Samsung.
As for the hosting angle, agreed. If your business is anywhere on their radar, you better have a move off plan RFN and start executing it.

I too am having to research these things myself. They just don’t affect me and it’s very possible it won’t affect as many as some think it will (unless you’re wanting to plan a riot at the capitol)

Man, that’s exactly what I say about you. Not in malicious terms but in perspective. Respect? Absolutely but agree? Not always.
It isn't a matter of starting a riot. This is the only viable way to connect with the sheep for those of us who are inclined toward tech (which I am not). Without this, as Far as the sheep are concerned there is only one side of the story--that of Zuckerberg at alia. Put in a different way, this may be our only third alternative other than capitulating or using bullets.
Begging? Most of my systems run in Azure but I suspect that have lawyer speak in their Ts & Cs that would allow them to ban content based on their on judgement.
