Got my new used barrel
and scope put together. Sold all of my rifle cartridge barrels years ago. I managed to keep the 22 mag in the background.
New one is 7-30 Waters. Gonna kills some porkers.

Ammo is usually available but I load my own. Hell you can’t even find this brass right now but it can be made from 30-30 so I got it covered.

Thank you sir, been waiting to get back in the game for some time now.

Shot it only a few times and then put it away. A few years later one of my employees gave me a carbine stock that his grandfather made out of mesquite. I bought a .223 barrel and almost forgot I had the 7-30 Waters setup. Glad it worked out.

The man that made the stock was a true craftsman. I saw several of the others he had made, they were all top shelf pieces.

Reshaping then refinishing the grip that came with my new barrel. It was a bit on the Large size so here we go. Also the rubber to wood fit was way off. And I like nice stuff

Got carried away a bit. Added an Ebony grip cap. The plastic factory one was cracked and didn’t fit well at all. Ended up removing 1/4” from front finger grip area and a 1/16” from the flats of the sides and adding a new contour. I put some mineral spirits on to highlight the grain for pics.
