Tiger Woods has been hospitalized for "multiple leg injuries" after being involved in a serious car accident on Tuesday morning near Ranchos Palos Verdes, California. Woods had to be removed from his vehicle with the jaws of life as it sustained "major damage" following a single-vehicle rollover traffic collision, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

Woods, the only occupant of the vehicle, was transported to Harbor-UCLA Medical Center by ambulance to be treated for "moderate to critical" injuries suffered in the crash, the Los Angeles County Fire Department told CNN. The crash is under investigation by the LASD

    To ALL,

IF what WOAI News Radio 1200 said earlier this afternoon is anything like CORRECT, I'm stunned that Tiger Woods is not only ALIVE much less "expected to make a full recovery", after his surgery.

The latest "news update" said that the vehicle went "end over end" at least twice & rolled over sideways "a number of times".

Just saw live video of Tiger's car on wrecker. It did not appear to suffer damage normally associated with multi rotation roll over. It was damaged fore and aft but was not a ball of wadded up metal. side windows appeared intact. But I could be wrong on that aspect.

I used to ride my bicycle around Rancho Palos Verdes - I lived just north of there in Redondo Beach. Very hilly area, RPV and environs sits on a big rocky knob sticking up out of the water. Very pricey area to live.

According to one article the accident was at the intersection of Hawthorne Blvd and Blackhorse Road. Google maps shows that to be a "T" intersection, with Blackhorse (residential street) being the stem of the "T", and Hawthorne (main thoroughfare) the crossbar. From the picture of the vehicle above it looks like the vehicle is above the "T", as if (speculation follows) one was driving on Blackhorse and didn't turn right or left (enough) when got to Hawthorne.
