I’ve heated up many a lunch on a D398 while tripping pipe. Take a bite in between stands of pipe.

When I used to work downtown I would see cars in the open air parking lots with foil covered pans on their dashboards. 8 hours in the Texas summer sun inside a car and you have pot roast ready to eat!

When I lived in Southwest Virginia, I was about an hour from Junior Johnson's NASCAR shop in Ronda, NC. We used to hang out there quite a bit and got to know everyone pretty well. There were no forbidden areas, you could wander around anywhere.
One day when we got there you could hear an engine screaming and echoing through the hills. We went to the dyno room where engine builder J V Reins was torturing an engine. I said hello to him and asked if he was trying something new with the engine.
"Oh hell no", he said, I'm just warming up my lunch." He had his lunch wrapped in aluminum foil and laying on the intake of the engine.
We spent a lot of time at that shop and I enjoyed every minute of it. There was a lot of racing history that came out of that shop.
