    THONGS??

When I was in college in the late 60s, mini-skirts got REALLY SHORT (AND the coats went "floor-sweeping" long), the "more daring coeds" wore nothing under their skirts & the really BOLD ones sometimes "put messages on" their arses.

    LOL, satx

When I went to the grocery store I was shocked to see college girls wearing thongs. I was stunned and thought for a minute that I was having a heart attack, but luckily I am still alive. I hope springtime is as hot in your city.
When I moved back to Texas (native) in 2019 I was asked if the wildflowers were out yet, I sent several pics of Granbury beach and the square showing Texan beauties with the caption "Yes however they are overshadowed by halter tops and bikinis which are in full bloom!"

Late 60's, then along came the 70's. I think I had fun.

Damn, guess I went to the wrong college. Of course it was 99.9% male and not too sure about the other .1% so........maybe it was for the best.

Yeah, I didn't go to SATX's school, nor yours, but I do have an indelible memory of my 1st view of a miniskirt.

    BRD@66,

FWIW, I went to undergraduate college at the smaller of 2 Universities in one small town (of about 8000 people) & separated only by a 2-lane road.
BOTH colleges way back in The Dark Ages had an about 2-1 female to male population (and a HIGH percentage of "long-stemmed" Southern beauties) & it often seemed that ALL the coeds were there primarily to catch herself a future Army officer & get her "MRS degree".

    EXCELLENT environment for hunting!!!

Note: In 2021, the environment there is the same, except now my alma mater is about 1/2 to 2/3 VERY BRAINY foreign students, tuition & B&R are $$$$$$$$$$ AND there is no longer a military science department/corps of cadets.
(IF I was a HS grad now, I could not get into my old college, as the school OPENLY says that they are interested in admitting ONLY the TOP 1 percent of HS graduates. = WHEN you have only 350 available spaces in each year's entering class, the school can afford to be "very selective". Furthermore, I could NOT afford the cost in 2021, as I went to school on a military scholarship.)

    yours, satx

Kind of the same deal with my school now. Admission is a little more lenient but foreigners, man alive. When I went there it was for farm kids, small town kids and big town kids that all wanted to be engineers or scientists. Now, the head of the university system is Korean, the Chancellor of the campus I graduated from BS and MS is called Mo (short for Mohammed) the Ch. E. school is headed by a Chinese, and the guy that contacted me had a Turkish first name. Sorry guys, no soap. No thongs either before Ben chides me for going off subject. No miniskirts either.

    cygunner,

When I went to university, I was "a poor boy from a nowhere/rural NETX town" at a RICH kids school & on an Army scholarship. = Tuition was then 800.oo per semester, plus room/board/fees/books.
MOST students back then were from AL, AR, KS, LA, MO, MS, OK & TX.
(The majority of students in the 1960s drove USA sports cars, Cadillacs, Oldsmobiles & Lincolns. = I first had a 20YO Nash, then a "ratty old IH Scout" & later a 12YO Chevy 1/2 ton PU.)
NOTE: I made my "spending money" peddling the catfish, that I caught on set-hooks & trotlines, door to door

In 2018 (when I last was on campus), it seemed like all the kids had a newer MB, BMW, AUDI or a similar foreign car.

BTW, tuition is now over 45K per semester & (I'm told) the most common surname on campus is: LI.
(LOTS of Chinese students, for sure)

The state school I went to in Missouri was less costly and public. About $30k for a 28 hour year including food and housing now. We averaged 20-21 hours PER semester when I went there. Took 168 for a BS. They have had to cut it back as people were going elsewhere. We were mostly farm and small town kids or working class kids from big cities. I expect it only cost me and my father about $35k for my BS. Books, tuition and partial living was scholarship and fellowship in grad school. New wife worked on campus for most of the rest. My parents furnished beef. Wife's skirts were short then but not mini.

    cygunner,

    UNDERSTOOD.

Fyi, I've never known if the customers thought my "dressed to order" live catfish were that GOOD or if the the men mostly liked looking at APRIL (She of the GREAT legs "clear out to yonder") in short-shorts & "crop top" & therefore nearly always bought ALL of our fish every day.
    (CHUCKLE).
