Was the ticket for shooting the snake, or hunting without a license?
The ticket was for thinking you lived in a free country.Hunting without a license
I always wear snake boots but now that I have seen an actual copperhead right near my house I am bringing the shotgun with me when I am out and aboutThe great thing about Texas & poisonous snakes. We only have 4 kinds.... Rattlers, Copperheads, Corals & Cotton mouths. All 4 are fairly easy to identify.... IF you see em, before its too late.
One of the neighbors was in their yard last year messing with her garden & got bit on the leg by a copperhead. She got to the ER in time & only has a little scar from the bite.
I should start wearing mine more often, now that its warming up.I always wear snake boots but now that I have seen an actual copperhead right near my house I am bringing the shotgun with me when I am out and about

EZ-E,
GOOD IDEA as we Texans seem to HAVE a BUMPER CROP of Pit Vipers in 2021.

Austin's overflowing with the bastards right now.Just curious, what do you consider to be a "bumper crop" of pit vipers here in Texas?
Hit a snake with the mower last year, was mostly still good though so I went to skin it and see if it looked tasty, I found 3 frogs inside. One of them lived to hop another day. Lucky frog.
Quit pulling that out, its disgusting.
