…Turns out the smallest bills the ATM gives out is 20. So I gotta figure out how to get smaller bills.
$20 bills is the most comm bill from an ATM; spends like all other bills, change back is how you get your small bills. An alternative is to make a withdrawal from the lobby/lane and specify your bill mix.

…I don't like the websites for some of my newer credit cards. One has a balance of nearly $40 but can only pay $20 unless I do it manually. Both of them I don't know if it's the billing cycle, but I'm not sure when one month is ending and the next is starting.
Read the pdf statement, by law that all has to be on it. You should see a ‘statement balance’ which is the spending, if paid by the due date will not incur an interest charge.

…One thing I have noticed, when I'm grocery shopping is that I don't really keep track of cost…Currently my budget lists all of my major monthly expenses except the random stuff I will buy. But I'm not keeping to the budget for anything….

For the grocery store, there’s apps that can help with that.

The random stuff is what normally kills most people; I have a bucket/envelope called WAM…Walking Around Money that is specifically for random stuff. When it’s empty, I’m done for the month. Forces discipline.

Speaking of discipline, I’m curious if you’re just making a budget and then looking backwards to see if it worked for the previous month. Budgets are forward looking, based off previous expenses. At the end of June, you make your budget for July based on June’s income and expenses. Then, in July, you only spend what you’ve budgeted.

When you teach yourself how to live off cash money, it can force you to learn to use discipline with your money.

When you learn from that experience of buying something you wanted, rather than needed, and have o do without something you need, that is very valuable lesson to learn.

Later in life, it will help translate into how you spend "plastic" money as well.

I do not use cash. If I am concerned about the tracking of my purchase on anything I use a cryptocurrency of my and the sellers choosing that is untraceable to me.

Just remember, all you super conservatives out there using "cash is king" your cash is super manipulated by the central banking groups including the Fed and any denomination 20 dollars or over has RFID strips in it. So they know exactly how much you have.

How close does one need to be to tell how much money is in my pocket?

Depends on how much you're carrying. A study published in 2012 said they could do it with a single 5 dollar bill from 3 cm. That is about an inch, but they were also using a much smaller detector than what big brother has.

This group presented it publicly in 2012. It's 2021. I bet it's been classified technology for 25 years.

EDIT FOR Mr Admin super duper moderator who couldn't just correct me

Only time I use cash is for F2F purchases or discounts. Cash is king but is also the most liquid asset you can have; and lose.
