BRCC and any bro-vet companies: I cant think of anything more obnoxious than a bunch of gatekeeping has-beens looking down their noses at civilians and donating to democrats. All you care about is money and you have about as much integrity as a politician. I dont even tell people I was in the military anymore so I wont be lumped in with these chodes.

100% agree!! Black rifle coffee first pops into my mind but there are many other. Never heard the term "bro-vet" but i love it and really hate those type of companies.

    Fudds

People who flat out refuse to have fun with firearms

People who see someone shooting much better than them, and try to offer "instruction"

    People who berate new shooters

    Fudds

Older people who get pissy because they get called on their terrible muzzle discipline, and say something along the lines of "ive been handling guns longer than you've been alive"

The massive amounts of 6.5 shooters that brag about how great and flat shooting their 6.5 is, yet never shoot past 100 yards.

    Did i mention Fudds?

Spot on. I agree 100%. I never encountered a fudd before in person until one time on a PA state game range I was sighting in an AR and he was giving me some dirty looks since he didn't like the concussion from the muzzle brake.

This was outside and I was shooting at the same rate that Id shoot a bolt gun. fing fudds

To add on to this, what grinds my gears are firearm elitist that give novices shit for misplaced terminology. Believe it or not, you don’t have to correct someone every time they use the term clip when they mean magazine, or bullets when they mean cartridges. It’s one thing to want to teach newcomers proper lingo, but this is often done condescendingly, making the gun community as a whole come off as a bunch of arrogant assholes.
i only do that to friends whom i am sure know better.

    Out here by the lake!
    FUDD's and fanboys.

And the "Tacticool Timmy's" as well.
I go out & defend Tacticool Timmy's some what. We as a nations have been at war for as long as many new gun owners have been alive. Hard not to look @ guns/weapons & not see the latest greatest shit. Not anyone I know of outside Uncle Sugar has the money to throw @ research & development. Sure their are individuals & private companies that have great ideas to help our troops, but they are looking to Uncle Sugar for a lucrative contract.

It's one thing to own the most advanced guns & gear out there. It's another to be a chicom knockoff buying TACTIFOOL. I get it that everyone has the money to buy legit things. It's another to buy some e-bay butllshit shipped from china and be an operator!

As far as fan bois go I like what I like & I'm pretty loyal to the brands of things I buy. Be it H&K's we hate you to peanut butter or shit paper. I try to buy American & Texas when I can. Call me stupid if I care about another American having a job.

As far as I'm concerned Fudd's are a few ladder rungs below Fan Bois. One can look at the Beer Virus picture thread and see pretty quickly I'm a fan boi of certain types of women. And no matter how hot a chick may be tattooed women turn me off, as quick as supper thick women. Life is way to short to to like what you truly enjoy!

You are misunderstanding my terming of a Tacticool Timmy. These are the idiot wannabe's that dress and play like they are some sort of super secret tactical operator, that has never been in the military, or washed out of the military, and they want people around them to to think that they are an operator or such. Simple terms, they are phonies.

i have been asked a few times if i am military, because of how i dress. i am always quick to say "Nope! i am just a big fan of their work, and i like extra pockets."

the thing i dont get is how anyone would think i am a military dude seeing as how out of shape i am these days, but maybe im looking old enough to be retired now.... shit!

So how do you feel about cowboy action shooters? And what about the hunters who blow a small fortune on gear that only hunt whitetail from a blind/stand?

Personally I never understood sports fans of games with balls. What about fanatical fisherman?

Long ago my dad broke it down in pretty simple terms. He and my brother were big time modelers. They built & flew control line planes when I was young. Eventually they got into R/C planes. My brother took it farther building an ultra light, then a Vans 2 seat airplane. The old man said whatever sport or hobby a guy really gets into can become a huge expense, but if that’s their thing who is anyone to question it?

I have ran into more phonies on the job then anywhere! Phonies in they don’t know the job and in many cases lazy bastards.

I'm not talking about doing something for recreation and dressing the part. If that were true, Halloween would be the biggest phony holiday of all!

I think he's talking about the wannabe operators who think they're top shit and want everyone around them to know it. You know, the Gecko45 types.

There's a community of practical shooters who get sometimes get geared up in vests and armor and all the other tactical stuff and they shoot competitively like that. It's called two gun, and it's actually pretty freaking awesome (see InRange.tv for more info on that sort of thing).

That's completely different than Tacticool Timmys.

    1. Jerks who think they know how to shoot and teach every bad habit possible to everyone they try to teach.......especially wives, children and girl friends......or let them get cut because they aren't paying attention.....

    2. Dimwits who think if there isn't one in the chamber but has a full mag in it.....it isn't a loaded weapon....(under Texas Law it is considered readily dischargeable)

    3. Low life's that think it is funny when women (or anyone) get hurt shooting something she (they) should not have been shooting without more training/experience....

On number 2 I don’t get what difference it makes if a gun is readily dischargeable or not. Carry an empty pistol into a school, or hold up a liquor store with an empty gun and it’s still the same offense.
