He had damn near as many guns on his bike as I had in my truck that day.Ask TxStetson what I was carrying on my bike when I first met him. Mainly I carry my S&W 1911 in my waist holster, but I have used a shoulder holster with my 9mm P320.
What's a cop style shoulder holster. Starsky n hutch? Dirty Harry? Crockett n tubbs?I have a CA CCW and ride with an M&P Shield IWB, but once I move to TX I am considering a cop-style shoulder holster for a 1911. What do you ride and carry?

Why do people want to use what Cali or other liberal states does as a basis for expectations of what Texas does or should do? I fear it is a subtle but dangerous bit of thought that exposes how normalized being anti-gun was and is out there. Are we allowed to OC AR pistols in TX? I've seen it done in LV. Someone tried to get an AR pistol added to their CCW card in CA which is technically not against the rules, but the sheriff in that jurisdiction threw a fit and wouldn't OK it

I’ll bet it’s something like this one.
What is vehicle carry?I open carry with a belt holster.
When vehicle carry becomes effective on Jan 1. I will have a holster mount on my bike itself, and will draw from it if needed. I carry either an upgraded Taurus G2C, Sig P365, or Beretta 92FS
What is vehicle carry?
Where is it written it must be concealed under a seat in a glove-box or center console? DON'T ADD TO THE LAW!!!Currently if you wish to carry your handgun in a vehicle, it has to be concealed either on your person, under the seat, glove box, or center console, etc… if it is OPEN carried, then it MUST be in a shoulder or belt holster AND on your Physical body.
Effective Jan 1, you will be allowed to open carry in your car, as long as the handgun is in ANY type of holster. The holster does NOT have to be physically on your body. It can be attached to your vehicle, or simply laying in the passenger seat, or on your dash or center console, etc… So long as you are in the Vehicle, or on it.
Magnet mounts are NOT legal in your car, unless they are concealed, OR include a holster, and the handgun is IN the holster.
I was just giving examples of concealed,I also said ETC…. Meaning you can conceal it however you wish. The list I gave was not all inclusive, or meant to be exclusive. Doesn't matter how it’s concealed.Where is it written it must be concealed under a seat in a glove-box or center console? DON'T ADD TO THE LAW!!!
The law simply says a handgun must be concealed. That could be as easy as sitting your skid-marked chonies over the handgun.
"Concealed" how and where is up to you

I've read the Texas penal code 46 a few times (as much as humanly possible) but never saw any mention of the law that for OC, the handgun must be in a holder ON the person. I read the part where it mentions shoulder or belt holster. But no other mention of location of the weapon. Hence all the funny memes with a handgun in a belt holster, hanging from someone's neck or shoulder on a piece of twine.Currently if you wish to carry your handgun in a vehicle, it has to be concealed either on your person, under the seat, glove box, or center console, etc… if it is OPEN carried, then it MUST be in a shoulder or belt holster AND on your Physical body.

What's the next thread? Asking about what we carry on our dirt bikes? I am not telling but yes I do. Especially if I am by myself in a more remote area. Not taking any chances.Anyone else carry while riding their street bike?
