Nope. Just the old small rectangular bales we had to throw up on the trailer and then into the barn attic.Didn't have those when I was growing up.
Better for climbin' and sittin' anyways...Nope. Just the old small rectangular bales we had to throw up on the trailer and then into the barn attic.
My aunt ran the farm as my uncle worked as an accountant. She’d hire local HS students to put up the hay in the barn. I’ve seen her work the young guys to collapsing and keep throwing the bales on the conveyor. She died at 87 having survived uterine cancer in 1948. She was born IIRC in 1898. Could hit a cat’s mouth 5 feet away with a stream of milk from a cow’s teat.Nope. Just the old small rectangular bales we had to throw up on the trailer and then into the barn attic.
I was one of those high school students filling the barn with hay. The only difference is we didn’t have a conveyor. At least with didn’t have to cut the hay by hand like my Granddad. My aunt ran the farm as my uncle worked as an accountant. She’d hire local HS students to put up the hay in the barn.
