Maybe? The letter specifically refers to the buying and selling of machine guns.

So, what's up with the new "definition" mentioned in the letter? Y'all notice that?

I don't seem to recall that additional bit in the previous technical [legal] description...

ETA: Looks like that language has been there for a while...Apparently, I need more sleep...

So they came to your door and you voluntarily let them in to have a friendly chat.

No, my wife answered the door. I was watching on the ring cam because i couldnt see what agency(police or other) they were from. When they said FBI/ATF I called my wife and spoke to them on speakerphone. They did not come in the house, or even ask to come in.

I don’t think I would talk to them without an attorney being present. We have seen people accused of lying to the feds get in big trouble.

And you are telling us that they didn't ask to see it? So many questions!!!

They asked if I still had it, I told them I got it with the intention of doing a form 1, realized it was garbage, and threw it away, which is the truth. They said that was fine, as long as I had gotten rid of it, and that if I was lying and they caught me with it, it would be my ass.

FB is probably reporting all kinds of stuff to the feds. That, and I figured half of those solvent trap and “fuel filter” ads were posted by feds, and the rest monitored by them.

They visit the solvent trap makers, threaten them with 87 years, but say if give us your customer list, cease and desist, and we will not prosecute.

I bought it from a guy who was vetted as legit. I am sure they most likely got him first and just hit everyone who had pay palled him $25. Its not rocket surgery.

Facebook. I dont know how they knew.

I do have a Facebook account, but very seldom use it very often anymore, and I know a lot of members here detest FB, but here's a novel idea. Lots of members setting up FB accounts and talking about buying "solvent traps" and ragging on the FBI and the ATF to just jerk their chains a bit!
