    Morning.

I have a jar of fig preserves put up by my maternal grandmother circa 1965. That and one picture are the last mementos of her I possess; I will keep them forever.

If I ever give away those preserves, you'll know that I know I'm not long for this world. :)

The weekend my wife passed we made peach jam. I have two jars of that jam that will never be eaten.

Asking so I can know, but is that a sign of something else?
A sign I ain't going to do any more mowing today!

Went out to fill the weedeater with gas, and there ain't any gas either. So that sign says I ain't weedeating today either!

My condolences on your loss deemus. I also understand the not wanting to eat the jam due to the memory. God bless you and your family. It's never easy when a loved one is called home by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

    Fig preserves and blackberry jelly.
Figs off the tree by grandparent's kitchen (the one that had the pitcher pump inside ... tall cotton, 70+ years ago in S Louisiana).
Blackberries I picked along Hwy 190 ROW, 3 miles West of Eunice, back when it was two lane from end to end.

I went to New Iberia Senior High and got my bachelors degree from what was USL. The fig I mentioned above came Loreauville. I got them from my FIL. He passed away on March 1st this year.

Got another love letter from the HOA telling me how nice my home is maintained and hard I must work.

I dislike HOAs somewhat and dont quite know how to process that.

    It makes me feel dirty.

Good thing they cant see the trim I need to paint as soon as it cools off.
