Based on what I saw from the video I would have likely made the arrest and would have been flabbergasted if an arrest hadn't been made.

Once the license plate came back with the vehicle registered to Allen and Angela West the officer was committed/screwed. The way the situation played out determined the course. The only criticism I would make is the "I smelled alcohol" line in the report. Politics was involved, but not on the part of the officer. What would the democrats have done if the vehicle wasn't stopped?

Not accepting the actions of a cop in a politically motivated arrest or even just a monumental screw up arrest, like this could have been, is not a "total anti blue attitude". IMO, its a normal freedom loving American reaction to abuse of authority or authority that is incompetent and should not be in a position of authority..

Good point. It seems that whatever the officer does is going to be the wrong course action. We are so divided now, that had he let her go, there would be someone on the far left declaring she was let go due to who her hubby is. I’m not in law enforcement, and I don‘t have any idea on the decision tree officers use, but it just seems to me that in this case, there was no possible good outcome. The “no” might be correct. I should have said General. The rest is wrong.

Helping Dems win elections is how you help the democrats. And not voting helps the Dems. If you want to send a message do it in the primary. After that your abstinence is the best thing you can do for the Dems short of casting a vote for them. Just like people who wouldn’t vote for Trump because he wasn’t a clean cut well spoken conservative.


Voter turnout numbers are how the Dems got Georgia’s senate seats. I’m sure those people that said the candidate wasn’t conservative enough are patting themselves in the back as trillions are flushed down the drain and the grand children’s debt skyrocket at an unprecedented pace.

At this point, even if Abbott won the primary, I would not vote for him. He betrayed his party platform and Texas citizens for his own ambitions. He's no better than any Democrat.

I respect the fact that you are sticking to your principles. However, this is how states turn blue. Bernie Sanders supporters despised Hillary and Joe Biden, but they all voted for them both. If enough people feel as you do, it’ll be Governor O’Rourke and all you will get to do is bitch about it.

I feel that if West is elected we won't turn blue. IMO West is the best guy based on his constitutional position. IMO, if we "turn blue" it's past time to stand up and exercise our rights.

Police are vetted better than CPS and have way more oversight.

Its a fun "looks bad" point to make, that is along the lines of the left and their "Trump separates families at the border" BS. Yeah, when you get arrested, the kids and the rest of the family don't get to go.
