I love my 45-70 by Henry. The only flaw it has ever had was its trigger pull. This trigger pull is heavier than a dead hooker. I ended up buying this spring off of Wolff, SKU: 33101 https://www.gunsprings.com/MARLIN/39A, 94, 95, 336, & 444 SERIES/cID2/mID101/dID169
based on the guidance from here: https://www.triggershims.com/henry_rifle.php (they sell the same springs for way too much but scroll down to the section titled "TECH TIP: Marlin Springs for Henry Big Boys")
I need to try it out with factory loads and reloads though but holy cow what a difference. It must have went from 7-8 pounds down to 3-3.5 pounds. I'll wait until after I test it out before giving it the blessing but if I have the same results as the guy in that website, Ill be happier than amy schumer at the slop pen
