Not defending him, but, wasn't he supposed to do this, draw aim and fire at the camera?
yep, he pulled the single action Colt SAA revolver out his holster, cocked back the hammer 4 clicks, and pulled the trigger.
This was NOT a misfire.
When the story first broke I read he was pissed off about the amount of takes they had shot & made comment about maybe someone needed shoot!

Well, in the direction of the camera, for the shot, and obviously the operator is standing behind it.
Don't defend the indefensible!
1. He is an adult.
2. He has been in many films, and is aware of the standatds in HIS industry.
3. He has been in films before, using firearms.
4. He has tried to convince people that guns are evil.
5. He violated basic firearms rules we expect even children to learn.
6. He, and only he, is responsible for his actions.
7. He would be the first one screaming for the head of any gun owner who did what he did.

I have no like or respect for Alec Baldwin, but I'd bet a box of donuts that if he were not the anti-gun Hollywood liberal that hated Trump person he is, this discussion and the other thread would be much different.
Does Baldwin bear responsibility for this incident? Absolutely. As does everyone that handled that gun does. Several here are playing the lefty game of accusing, and blaming him simply because of his beliefs and opinions. Isn't that what leftists do about gun owners? Hmmmm..

I don't think for a second that Baldwin intended to shoot those people. This is a case of a lowlife scum socialist shooting two of its own kind. Why do that?

What I wonder is how he sleeps. Is he fighting with how he can live with what he as done? The remorse. The guilt. Or is he wondering how he can get out of the responsibility for what he has done.

That was my first thought. I wanted to completely blame Baldwin because he a piece of human garbage. But the reality is someone is in charge of that, and it isnt him. My second thought is why is there live ammo on a movie set?
He likely won't be prosecuted, but I hope it stains him. But someone set him up to commit murder. I see a made for Netflix movie headed our way.
This plus any input/involvement he had in hiring the prop master and the assistant director (fired from previous job fir firearm issues) will cause him trouble.
