The Hellion has gotten pretty positive press. Too bad Springfield's the one importing it...plus the fact they had to stamp their name all over it. Gun Jesus Ian did a break down. Interesting but not sure I'd drop $2K on it but that seems to be where all these type rifles are priced. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. It's different but in a 80's 90's Famas/G36/Tavor kind of way.

$2k for that thing? I'd much rather drop $700-900 on a Keltec RDB and be done with it. But I do like the new EoTech pistol optic.
This is in line with AUGs or Tavors.

If it's even half as good as the reviews say, it's still worlds ahead of kel tec

If you are finding $900 RDB’s, you need to buy them all up. I see them at $1200.

This is pretty cool, and I"m glad to see a new gun using an existing magazine pattern, instead of yet another proprietary mag, even if Caracal mags aren't wide spread. Upshot for Caracal owners - mags will probably suddenly be more plentiful! I like the lines, it looks like a blend of a Glock and a Steyr.

Fn bringing back the high power View attachment 299532

I wonder if FN got shamed into re-introducing the Hi Power because of Springfield, and the couple of Eurotrash copies that were released / updated? Either way - even though I'm not in the market for a new pistol this very moment, this fills my heart with a little joy seeing an FN made Hi Power in new production again. The ambi controls are a nice touch, those VZ style grips look awesome, and it *looks* like this is a 4 or 4.25 inch version maybe? Like FM's "Detective" slides. I dig it!

    Lol

    why buy a Springfield

shot across the bow with a big FU added
Probably because despite the differences, the SA seems to be more in line with the original.

Plus FN will rape you on price and discontinue the gun after a few years leaving you SOL if a part breaks

I was referring to the view from FN. I am surprised they did not also announce a 1911 to send a message.

If they could release a 1911 that's made in the US, or at least in Europe, with better features than the Springfield offerings that'd be pretty damn sweet...

Im pretty convinced FN doesn't know how to sell handguns in the US market.

They had a battle proven design that could have been in the front of the wonder 9 craze, but failed to make any meaningful improvements, and just kept raising prices.
