    So my back yard is mostly concrete as shown in the photo.

    I was just hosing it off and noticed something in one of the "cracks".

    Upon closer inspection in turned out to be the object (the bullet, not the nickel) in the other photo.

    It appears to have been there for a while.

    It'll have to be sent to the lab for analysis of course.

    Unless y'all can shed some light on it from the image provided.

    I included the coin for scale, and am not a reloader, nor that knowledgeable about projectiles, so I could only guess as to what it is or how it got there.

    I do know it's a rifle projectile, and given the shape, size, and commonality of the .30 caliber round, I'll make that my guess.

    As for how it got there, I haven't a clue.

    Gonna clean it up and see if I can discern if it's been down a barrel or not.

    It's FMJ, but I thought there would be a SLIGHT deformation from impact.

    Unless someone had their reloading bench out there and dropped it.
