People from Cali, shoot their Glocks sideways!

Yeah, but in the Shamalaynian twist - @Moonpie taught them how to do that. He's a frickin trend setter, that one. I also have it on good authority that the guys from HoMeBoY worked VERY closely with him (not quite Brokeback Mountain close, but still close) to design their patented sideways night sights. He's livin' rich with all those 1911's thanks to the royalties from those sights alone.

Texas needs a MUD tax like Maryland. It is an additional assessment on new homes to help cover the additional infrastructure - roads, schools, etc - required by those homes. That would help keep the tax increases down for the homeowners already in place.

Yeah CA has a program called Mello-Roos that accomplishes similar

And being born in California don't automatically make a man a liberal.

Growing up there presents a challenge I ain't had to face.
Either way, it gnaws on me when folks want change that ain't biblical or conservative.

Taxes have been around as long as prostitution and farming.

We stayed because Texas is free and affordable.
Ya'll came for much of the same.

Don't try changing my state and I won't bitch about y'all moving here.

I can't blame a man for wanting the life I've lived. But I'll raise hell if you try to take it from me.

I do love Texas but it’s getting crowded. I worry for her.

If I could retire right now I’d go in this order:
West Texas middle of nowhere. I love windmills. I know plenty of Texans who hate em but I enjoy the sound of them and coyotes over people.

My second choice would probably be checking out areas in West Virginia maybe Kentucky.

I would not go back to Oregon.

If I became stupid wealthy I would disappear in a coastal Washington state peninsula town. There are still places a man can disappear up there and do what he wants regardless of politics.

But I do worry about Texas getting so many people that don’t have a good background. Take background for whatever you think I mean. I think of it as having the best interest for your community. Still being broad I know but that’s for a reason right now.

If I had stupid money, there's a ranch I'd buy.
It ain't close to any town.
A good 2 hours to anything I'd call a city.

Most folks couldn't make it there.
I've been there many times. It's a real slice of heaven.

The owner is very old and frail.
I'll cry when some big city asshole gets their hands on it.

Costa Rica is fun place. House boat living is cool. Not sure what it’s like now but I was there in the 90’s. At a similar time Belize was interesting. At the time one could pay the police to import all the guns you own. But kind of your own risk type deal. One cop for a huge area. Lol he drove around on a motorcycle with an uzi on his leg.
