    Out here by the lake!
First time mowing on my rider at the new place I suddenly found the drainage culvert that ran under the road. I was pretty lucky, as a little more front tire in the hole & it would have totally flipped over on me.

I have since created scorched earth around it & added a marker. If a car truck or ATV was to find it with any speed there would be major damage.

That's why I have a Pablo to cut my grass
I never felt I could afford someone to do my grass. Last few I hired it out luckily to friends, I was correct about the lawn care proffesionals @ Aztec Migrant Lawn, they wanted $75.00.

Old white guy here cut it for $35.00 without edging & crap. Mower paid for itself in a year.

If I were not so old and broke down, and had the money and equipment, I'd start my own lawn care business.

A couple I knew from the renfest have one. Good thing they own the rights to the BMF Activator. They can't keep employees, as mexican won't work for them, and the whites are all crackheads.

My realtor knew people that used them & the stories makes me wonder how the exist. They hada church account that one lead man went to wearing afull length duster & some swords in summer time. The amount of widows alone they have broke alone is crazy.

Me, too. Well, all you said and the work involved.
I actually do enjoy doing yardwork, and I'm pretty good at it as well. I have always taken a lot of pride in having my yards look nice and well kept. Years ago when I lived in town, several times my yard was selected as "Yard of the Month" on our street. I was very proud of that.

We have one spot on our property - actually out on the edge by the road - that is sketchy as hell to mow. Very steep incline. Mower struggles to go up the grade, and even in reverse, goes down the grade. Have *almost* gone thru the fence a couple times but managed to turn and come to a stop before it. I would NOT attempt mowing straight across there, for it would roll for sure. I don't have a working push mower at the moment, or I'd be tempted to just use that on that stretch.

I did get the damn mower stuck a few weeks ago in teh ditch by the uphill side of our culvert. Never been stuck there before, but I guess the last big rain we got washed some dirt out, left it a bit muddy - and the stinger on the trailer hitch sunk in and I was done - wouldn't move. Called up my neighbor who brought his shiney new F350 diesel and eased it right out. I need a truck, but I'm not buying any big ticket items until the car market settles down. My mother in law couldn't climb into a truck if her live depended on it, so we're rocking the no-anchor point mini van.

Yep, last year I recall a guy near Longview that rolled his commercial zero turn down an embankment and broke his neck. Speed + carelessness + uneven terrain will get you every time.

I am 73 and mow my grass two times a week, but it is two acres of flat land with no surprises. Biggest thing I have to remember is to not do full speed turns because my lot is 100% sand and sometimes those front wheels will dig in and bury themselves which brings you to a screeching halt. My mower will only do about 7-8 mph so it is not like the big boys.

I have no need for a zero turn. Those things are meant for flat ground. Plus the massive weight imbalance on em. People need to see terrain and know what to do and with what.

Seatbelts on mowers are stupid. If one rolls, you need to gtfo. A Basic riding mower is still 400 plus lbs. the newer ones have an engine cut off once seat pressure is gone.

If it’s too much of a grade then use a weed eater. It’s not rocket science.

First Zero Turn I ever was on was specific to mow the putting greens on a golf course, this was the late 70's. I don't think anyone like operating them back then, because the price tags was the first thing you hear about. There was more stuff to them, then just a mower.
