Good Morning Texicans. Well my day started poorly. Load up truck to go do some shootin' at the property. Damn truck won't start, barely turns over. So unload truck and now wait for mama to wake up to get her car keys to go buy a new battery. I hope it is just the battery, I am not a mechanic.

Slow crank then no start, or machine gun like clicking and flickering of dash lights? Both are 9 times out of 10 a low battery. Old battery (2+ years given our hot climate) then replacement recommended. Newer battery I'd charge & test.

Gonna get tires for the boat trailer and maybe put the motor in a trash can to see if the water pump is still working. Duck season will be here soon

Will not start, now. So get new battery and shoot tomorrow. It will be over 90 by the time I get there and I don't like to sweat profusely while shooting. Besides us retired types have plenty of time, no need to rush.

Montgomery County still won't issue a burn ban or fireworks ban. I'm 1,000 ft from the county line with Waller County, which has had a burn ban for quite some time, and has banned most fireworks sales and use.
