Just returned home from my Vascular surgeon appointment. Aorta is still at 4 CM. Same as last year, so this is good news. Next appointment is July of 2023.

Only thing he wants me to do is quit smoking cigarettes. I didn't say this to him, but that ain't going to happen. But I have cut down on them.

I sure hope that's not true. My father and all his brothers died of cardiac problems.

Mom's side was no better. Every single one of her brothers and sisters (except for the one who's still alive) died of cancer. We caught mom's cancer early but she died from surgery complications.

Cancer to the left of me; heart attacks to the right. And I'm stuck in the middle.

Well we just home a few minutes ago. No surgery done today. Cancer was more extensive than originally thought, so doctor is taking a different approach before doing surgery. Have to have a CT scan done of my neck, then a visit to hematolgy oncology department for oral chemo treatments before he can do surgery. So at least three more trips to Dallas for consultations, tests, and treatments.

My chances are real good. These doctors at UT Southwestern are top notch and are looking at several options to get me better.
