Among the many things King Charles III will inherit from his mother is a McDonalds franchise. Apparently the McDonald's at Banbury Gateway Shopping Park in Banbury, Oxfordshire is owned by the royal family and is slightly more 'upscale' than your usual McDonalds, including having a wait staff to bring your Big Mac and fries to you.

A Corona virus is between .05-.2 microns in size. One micron is approximately 1/100th the diameter of a human hair. Think those masks worked? Pour some water through one. The median diameter of a water molecule is 4.9 microns. So no- they didn’t frucking work.

Common sense should tell you that any virus must be larger than a water molecule that is made if only two hydrogens and an oxygen, while the virus is much more molecularly complex.

All viruses contain nucleic acid, either DNA or RNA (but not both), and a protein coat, which encases the nucleic acid. Some viruses are also enclosed by an envelope of fat and protein molecules. In its infective form, outside the cell, a virus particle is called a virion. Each virion contains at least one unique protein synthesized by specific genes in its nucleic acid. Viroids (meaning "viruslike") are disease-causing organisms that contain only nucleic acid and have no structural proteins. Other viruslike particles called prions are composed primarily of a protein tightly integrated with a small nucleic acid molecule.

The diameter of a water molecule (H2O) is closely calculated to be about 0.000282 µm.

But, while a Corona virus is still smaller than the pores of a mask,

In everyday settings, the virus doesn’t travel alone. COVID-19 viruses are usually carried in respiratory droplets, which are generally at least 10 times larger than the virus.

    Yep.

Standard camping water filter will remove things (bacteria and protozoan) down to 0.2 microns, and you need a pump to force the water through the filter!

Arg- yes. Thanks for the correction. Finely dispersed water mist is larger. Point taken. Still you can pour that shit through a mask…

I've probably been to that one. Is it 3 stories tall?
